Hello all,

Our competition was played under unusual circumstances on Wednesday.

The weather caused the planned greens renovation to run overtime.

The front nine holes were still being cored, so the players on Wednesday played a nine-hole Stableford comp off the 10^th.

A few groups circled round and played another 9 holes social.

The weather was cool but that didn’t trouble the entrants. Birdies proved elusive this week and the sandy greens were a challenge.

There were 32 entrants in the Stableford competition.

RESULTS

Winner of the day and A Grade 1 Jenny McSwain with a score of 23.

A Grade 2 – Sue Cautley score of 22.

A Grade 3 – Karyn Sanders score 20.

Congratulations to Ruth Wilkinson who won C Grade at the Kilmore Bowl on Thursday with a very nice 35 points.

The team didn’t win, they came around forth.

Well done Ruth, Helen F said it was a “great effort on a tricky course” !

Pennant News from Suzanne Velk 

Round 3 April 7- Gisborne v Kooringal. Played at Sanctuary Lakes.

Once again Gisborne put up a brave fight. We lost on the day, but our spirit is not broken.

Special mention must go to Dao Lock and Moon Gordon who both took their opponents to the 20th hole only to be beaten 1 down.

Our only winner of the day was Marianne Stoettrup who played a magnificent game beating their number one player 3/2.

Marianne is in great form with two out of two wins.

Our team want to thank Graham Patterson, Sue Raggatt and Kim Dufty for their fabulous caddy support.

A big thank you also to Sharon Kemp, our Ladies Co Club Captain who gave up her day to come and support us taking up the role of team manager so I could also caddy.

It is a big ask to give up a Sunday and we appreciated their presence.

We are at Box Hill next Sunday playing against Green Acres.

The Women’s sub-committee AGM is coming up on Wednesday April 17 @ 8.30am.

Players please plan to have your clubs out of your car before the 8.30 meeting in the clubhouse.

• The AGM will be followed by a 3 Person Ambrose competition. Shotgun Start. Players will be placed in teams by the captains. A, B and C Grades.
