Golf Update for players on 20/2/24

Posted on: 19 April

The Anzac Trophy is up for grabs this Saturday.

We have two shotgun starts, one at 07:30 and the second at 12:30.

Car parking areas have been dramatically reduced on the bitumen area. A few members may park in that area, but stay well away from the container near the fence along the first. It is preferable for you to park in the area on the left hand side of the roadway entering the course.

Members should aim to arrive at the course shortly before their tee time and congregate in the car park near the fence on the first hole.

The practice putting green is not available, but all other practices facilities are operational.

All scoring will be via your phone, there are no scorecards available. You may check your starting hole by logging into the Miscore app and selecting a playing partner to score.

No golf carts are available

There is no water available at the bubblers on the 7th and the 10th holes.

NEW LOCAL RULE

Local rules are on the app. Click on the MENU button in the top right-hand corner of Mi Score and scroll down to Local Rules.

You will notice a new Temporary Rule number 3 which deals with the Fencing around the clubhouse hazardous site.

“3 – A ball lying inside, touching or near fencing around the clubhouse hazardous area must be treated as a ball in G.U.R. and relief is obtained under Rule 16.”

NO PLAYER IS PERMITTED TO ENTER THE FENCED OFF AREA AT ANY TIME.

If we have EFTPOS facilities available, all players will be able to pay their Competition Fee as they pass through Hole 1. Otherwise, we will record who has played and make arrangements to collect the entry fees at a later date.

HOSPITALITY

We do not have any hospitality facilities available for an after round drink.

However, the BBQ facility on hole 16 will operate all day thanks to our Kitchen and Bar staff and member volunteers.

You will be able to purchase hamburgers, sausages and drinks.

You will also have the opportunity to back yourself at getting on the green. Board odds will be offered.

Payments can be deducted from your house account or we will accept cash at the BBQ hole. We will only have a limited ability to provide change, so please use small denomination notes and coins.

Captain.
