Member Fire Update

Posted on: 18 April

Hi Members

The driving range and course are open for use. The driving range will have limited hours for approximately the next 2 weeks while we restore power to the ball dispenser. It is currently being powered by a generator.

The range will operate from 8am daily, with last balls to be purchased by 5pm. The generator will be switched off at that time.

If any members can help with picking up balls between 6:30am and 7:30am through the week to help the Pro shop team it would be greatly appreciated. We will also require some pickups on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 5:30pm. If you are able to help, send through an email to manager@gisbornegolf.com.au and I will send it on to the coordinators to make contact.

We have been working hard to arrange temporary portables for the Pro shop and office team which should arrive on Friday. We are still facing power and internet issues across the site, so please be patient with everyone while we work to make these operational.

Please read the portal on a regular basis as we will be providing constant updates and be asking for assistance when required.

To all our great members who have reached out and that I have not been able to respond to, your offers will be taken up over the coming months.

We have the best membership base i have been involved with, we will rebuild the clubhouse with all your support.

To the board and staff of the club, you have all been amazing with the way you have bounced into action, to have our members playing golf 24 hours after this tragedy is a credit to everyone. The strength you have all shown in the face of this challenge has been remarkable, it is a long road ahead, but after what I have seen I am certain that Gisborne Golf Club will rise from the ashes and become the destination club in regional Victoria.

Best Regards

Brett Campbell
