Club Golf News 18-3-24

Hi Members
A big week of club competition, with the playoffs for the W.E.D Robinson match play commencing, along with GA Women’s pennant and NWR Senior Pennant being held at our home course. Our Men’s pennant team were away this week, playing at Yering Meadows against Yarrambat. The women and Senior’s used the local knowledge to their advantage, recording great wins. It was a huge effort for our Women’s team who had new players, faced big differences in handicaps and came home with a 4-3 victory. The senior men won 6.5 to 3.5 and our GA men’s team had a resounding 6-1 win, with Shauldon Huisman showing his endurance to win on the 23rd hole.
In Club Competition, a remarkable feat by Harry Campbell, who on Saturday shot his age, 74 off the stick. Harry has done this previously, when he shot 71 as a spritely 72 year old. Congratulations Harry on an amazing achievement.
