2021 W.E.D Robinson Knockout Match Play

Posted on: 26 November

Saturday 20 November finally saw some decent spring weather for the qualifying round of the 2021 W.E.D Robinson Knockout Match Play.

The top 16 scores from those who entered the tournament will now play handicap match play over the coming weeks – good timing for Captain Hogan who’s looking to fill a strong North West Pennant side in 2022.

The list of qualifiers and first round matches can be found below:

A notable qualifier was Chris Payne who shot a one over 73 off a handicap of 6 (67 nett), players needed to have scored at least a 74 nett to qualify for this year’s event.

In 2021, the W.E.D Robinson will be modified with the inclusion on ‘play by dates’ as opposed to ‘play on’ dates.

Players will be given the opportunity to play their match at a time which suits themselves, this could be mid-week, weekends, morning, or afternoon.

The only parameter will be the date by which the match must be played, for example, first round matches must be played by Saturday 18 December (the last resort time will be on the ‘play by’ date).

Following the first-round matches, the W.E.D Robinson will be played into the new year with the holiday season fast approaching.

Once matches have been arranged, please send times and results to Captain Jo McPhee.

All the best to those competing in the 2021 W.E.D Robinson Knockout Matchplay and stay tuned on the members portal for more updates.
