Hi Jacqui.
Keep the Comrade messages coming. Congrats for the initiative. I’ve really enjoyed the posts from Spiro, Bill and Matt. I may have missed others.
As a member for a bit over 30 years, I can tell you that the Gisborne Golf Club has become a huge part of my social life, as the money I’ve tipped over the bar would testify.
My time spent at the working bees with the volunteer group, which has not been as often as I would like lately for medical reasons, has been almost better than the rounds of golf over the last few years.
My Oncologist keeps telling me to keep living my life as close to normal as I can and here we are with the course closed and working bees suspended.
I urge every Member to support the club in every way they can during these troubling times.
Come on!!! Let’s get rid of this virus and get back to the Golf Club.
Good luck to you, Alistair, the Committee, Ricky and the ground staff in your efforts to keep our Club functioning during this troubling time.
