Architectus Men’s Pennant Report

Round 2 and 3 of Golf Australia (Victoria) pennant was played at Gisborne and Spring Valley.
The club was represented by; Brendan Larkins (Captain), Phil Clough, Steve Veloso, Matt Priest, Tim Maddern, Jason Lock, Tim Scoble, Scott Tutton and Will Ryan.
The home game at Gisborne produced the normal cold wet conditions that left the “flats” scrambling for cover. The local boys proved too strong over Cranbourne with good wins to Phil Clough, Steve Veloso, Brendan Larkins and Tim Maddern for a 4/3 win. Matt Priest was unlucky to lose on the 19th.
The match at Spring Valley against Patterson River was unfortunately a 4/3 loss, but good wins to Brendan Larkins, Tim Maddern and new player Will Ryan; his first for Gisborne. Well done Will.
This week we play Spring Valley at Keysborough. The boys are looking forward to their match and will be battling hard to secure a win to move us the ladder.
Special mention to the Youth team. We have been able to watch their closing matches and they have won 3/3 and sit on top of the ladder, so it’s great to watch their success. Keep it up!
