Volunteers – Current and New

Posted on: 12 March

I hope you’ve all had a chance to rest and recharge the batteries now being back to somewhat “Golf Normal”,

It is time now to get back into with plenty of jobs backing up that will keep us busy long into Winter.

There are a myriad of jobs outstanding including but not limited to – general clean up, following recent rains, of the driveway, blocked drains and the inevitable fallen branches and debris. The love grass around some bunkers requires pruning/thinning, the stumps removed from the first hole require filling and smoothing in preparation of grass growth and turf tidy can go out in conjunction with the blower.

With all this in mind we would like to get out next Wednesday the 16th March, assembling at the maintenance shed at 8am where the jobs can be dished out.

The priorities this week are as follows,

  1. Clean up driveway and entrance, including washed down gravel, leaf litter at entrance and clearing of drain going to nursery.
  2. Prune/thin love grass at the 2nd hole bunker, 5th hole fairway bunker and 1st hole center bunker.
  3. Several limbs have fallen around the course with some requiring chainsaw action to remove.
  4. Logs next to the 1st hole to be removed/relocated to fire pit.
  5. General clean up fallen debris.

Perk – That should be enough to keep everyone busy for the day, as per usual lunch will be provided after.

Also there has been some talk about moving the volunteer day to Monday, have a think of your availability and preference and we can discuss it next Wednesday.

If your available – we need your help – All welcome

Cheers
