The Gisborne Golf Club Pro Shop aims to provide both members and guests with a vast range of professional golf services. The PGA Professional staff aim to not only provide an enjoyable golfing experience at Gisborne, but importantly to ensure that we can assist golfers of any ability to improve their golf, through one or more of our many professional services.
Gisborne Pro Shop prides itself on its coaching and club fitting expertise. Golfers of any age or ability can improve their game through coaching, or simply by using equipment that will suit and enhance their individual technique. They use Trackman, Capto, V1 and Skillest golf swing analysis software. This technology offers all golfers a great learning experience that is sure to enhance their golf. Private golf lessons are available and coaching programs can be individually developed to suit every golfer.
They are also dedicated to introducing new golfers to the game, with a variety of Junior Programs, Beginner and Women’s Clinics and golf activities available throughout the year.

Matthew Duncan – Head Professional

Matthew Duncan has been the Head Golf Professional at Gisborne Golf Club since 2012. He is a Certified Australian PGA member, with an Advanced status in Coaching. This advanced status is achieved through both coaching experience and further education to enhance golf professional knowledge and skills. Matthew has obtained a Bachelor of Business in Professional Golf Management, and has over twenty five years of experience in the golf industry at a variety of world class golf clubs throughout Australia. Matthew utilises Trackman and Capto technology during club fitting and putter fitting sessions, and with decades of experience and up to date training, can professionally fit you for your next set of golf clubs, or provide coaching expertise to take your golf to the next level. Callum Wilkinson – PGA Teaching Professional

Callum has been an integral part of the Gisborne Pro Shop team since November 2021. He began working as a PGA Associate at Northern GC in 2018 and is a qualified PGA Golf Professional. Throughout his time as a PGA Professional, Callum has focused his attention towards game development, and improving the capabilities of all his clients, with a particular interest in short game skills. He has also been instrumental in developing clinics and school holiday programs for the younger generation, and has grown our Junior Development Program here at Gisborne Golf Club. Callum has a very keen interest in helping golfers of all abilities improve their consistency and enjoyment out on the course.
