Let’s start with a tale of great competition from Saturday last weekend.
WJ McGregor foursomes. All competitors played 36 holes on Saturday.
You may recall the description was Walk 36 holes / play 18 – hitting only every second shot, in group of 6 .
Sounds great doesn’t it ? A bit of a walk but good golf hitting every second shot. How could it go wrong….what could happen after you’ve all walked 36 holes ???……well……
At the end of the 36 holes the women’s scratch scores were even, Mel Evans and Jenny O’Connor against Jo McPhee and Marianne Stoettrup.
Soooo they then played another 3 holes, (39 holes now), and unbelievably they could not be separated.
The scores were still even ! Another 5 holes sudden death were played. Congratulations to Mel and Jenny (a total of 44 holes) !
On Wednesday 35 Ladies played in a cool drizzly start. The competition was stableford.
