Hello all,

Congratulations to our Interclub team members for their great play. They finished in second place.

The big Gisborne Senior Amateur Event held last Friday attracted 76 players.

Congratulations to our former Captain Marianne Stoettrup, who took out Women’s Gross 3rd Place.

Wednesday golf competition was played in great conditions.

A beautiful calm sunny day. Fairways are greening up and the greens are fast.

We Need Your Assistance

POSTED ON: 28 SEPTEMBER

Hi Members

The committee would like to request a special favour from our members.

After reviewing the administration of the club, in particular the Bar and Bistro area, we discovered the reconciliation, balancing and banking of cash was draining our already stretched resources.

Cash transactions make up less than 20% of transactions in the clubhouse, but it is a headache to manage from the till to the bank.

We estimated it costs the club around 1 hour per day to physically manage, reconcile and bank cash.

This works out to be 260 hours per year at an estimated cost of $13,000 annually.

Of course, we all acknowledge cash is still legal tender, and we appreciate not all members will be comfortable with our proposal to transition to a “cashless” clubhouse.

This is why we are appealing to our members to provide us with feedback as to why we should not change to a cashless clubhouse.

For clarification, the Pro Shop will continue to accept cash transactions.

Please email your responses to manager@gisbornegolf.com.au

Best Regards

Brett Campbell

General Manager
