VALE Colin Gardner

It is with great sadness that I inform the members of the Gisborne Golf Club of the passing of Colin Gardner over the weekend.
Colin was well known in the region as a former Captain of the Trentham Golf Club and also the Melton Valley Golf Club, where he played a significant role in the administration of that club.
In his working life, Colin was a member of the Australian Defence Forces. Colin spent a lot of his time based in Perth and he also spent time at the Watsonia Barracks.
Colin was well-known for his golf cart, fitted with stereo, heater and decorated in his beloved St Kilda Saints colours.
Colin joined us at Gisborne Golf Club in recent years and he will be missed by all.
