TRIBUTE TO BRUCE OVERALL
Bruce was a long standing member of the Gisborne Golf Club who joined the committee in the 1990’s. He then progressed to become our President. One of his most notable achievements whilst on committee, was to successfully negotiate what we currently enjoy today, i.e. access to Western Water’s treated water supply.
He was a tough negotiator and managed to arrange an excellent deal where the club no longer had to endure dry conditions during the summer season.
Bruce, like us all, enjoyed the camaraderie with the club’s fellow members and was a tireless worker in his capacity as President.
Bruce sadly passed away on Friday, March 27th after a short illness. On behalf of the Gisborne Golf Club, we extend our sincere condolences to Neil, his son (fellow member) and Bruce’s extended family.
