The North West Pennant season is fast approaching and we have a CODE RED!

“We need a few good men to join our pennant team”

Pennant is a great way to meet other golfers, play other courses and represent the club we love. The Pennant Team is truly a fantastic group of players, and irrespective of your skill level, we will always respect your ability and never say a word.

Even if you are a D Grader that chokes on shorts putts in front of big crowds; our lips are sealed.

If you scream and shout when you screw up your 300 metres drives; Mums the word.

If you get smashed 10 up with 8 to play, which is the worst possible loss in the history of Pennant, and you really shouldn’t show your face in the club rooms; all you will hear from us is crickets.

We won’t say a word, not a murmur because we know that as a truly dedicated and committed Pennant Team Player “You Can’t Handle the Truth”

The Pennant team consists or 12 players, with 3 players in each grade (A-D)

  • A Grade (4.5-9.4)
  • B Grade (9.5 – 13.4)
  • C-Grade (13.5 – 17.4)
  • D Grade – (17.5 +) ** D-Grade play Handicap Match Play (so higher handicaps get extra shots on indexed holes)

The pennant matches are played on a Sunday, starting on the 9th of January, with the regional and divisional finals on the 13th and 20th Feb. Pencil these dates in, as we are going all the way to the Top this year – covid is not going to rob us of a flag this time!
