Summer Cup 2023
Congratulations to David Gundy who is the winner of the 2023 Summer Cup with two excellent rounds of golf in very trying conditions. David shot 33 points and 39 points to win on a countback from Matt Dean, the man who proclaimed himself Kiwi as he would swamp the field in the wet, with Steve Veloso one point away in third place.

Our first round leader Matt Laing, who on Thursday questioned why the rest of the field was turning up, fell well short of his intended 80 point 2 round total. Not scoring on 3 of the first 5 holes would be the problem there.

I think umbrellas all round for these three players may be an appropriate prize!!!!!

Doing It For Jarrod Day
We will keep the donation period open for one more week. Collection tins can be found at the bar and in the Pro Shop. The Jarrod Lyle Foundation does amazing work for kids with cancer, and I urge all golfers to get behind this cause. As the fields last week were smaller due to the rain, we encourage people to once again turn out in yellow and make a gold coin donation. As a bonus for this week, there will be an auction in the club for a round of golf for Four people with two carts at the Bendigo Golf Club. The sheet will be on the bar to record your bids.

Eclectic Competition
Golf Ops will introduce an Eclectic Competition over January, February and March of 2024.
We will be publishing the list of events that will count towards an Eclectic Score over the 3 months. We will provide further information on how the scores for an eclectic competition are calculated.

Waiting List
Can’t get on the time sheet or all the times where you would prefer to play are filled??
This is perfect time to use the waitlist function of MiClub. You will find this tab at the top right-hand corner of the Tee Booking Sheet. You can select to add a group of players or just yourself and you can choose a time of day you prefer to play. You will receive an email when a spot becomes available.

Good Golfing
