Roo Tour Buggy Operators Needed

Posted on: 19 November

After a 6 month Covid interval, we are desperately seeking more, “Roo Tour” buggy operators to help take tourists around our course.  Demand has started back up for our Kangaroo Tours.  We have some real shortages with current volunteers and is a great way to get the community coming back to the club.  It really does put us on the map!  It is a safe Covid operation whre we have a process to keep everyone safe.  Full training provided!

If you want to “Hop” on board, please contact Greg Edwards on 0407 361 819.

Here’s some details on how it operates:

  • Each volunteer is rostered on their nominated day – Tours run 7 days, the more popular days that we have found is for Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday & Sunday’s.
  • Volunteers are “on call” for the full day of their shift, i.e. 10:00am – 4:30p.m.
  • It is recommended that the respective volunteer attend in the morning to prepare the buggy and again in the afternoon to secure the buggy.
  • When and if patrons attend for a tour the respective volunteer will be contacted by the Club to advise them that a Roo Tour Guide is required.
  • Each tour runs for approximately half an hour.

A great way to contribute to your club.  Looking forward to seeing you down here!
