NOTICE OF 2022 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Gisborne Golf Club Incorporated shall be held at the Clubhouse in Daly Street, Gisborne on Tuesday 22nd March 2021 commencing at 7.30pm

BUSINESS

ORDINARY BUSINESS

To confirm the Minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting held on 17^th March 2021

1. To receive the Reports of the Committee
2. To receive, consider, and if thought fit, to adopt the Financial Statements, Auditors Reports and the Committee’s Annual Report and Declaration for the year ended 31^st December 2021
3. To receive the Financial Guidance Report as required by Rule 81 of the Rules of the Club
4. To consider, and if thought fit, to pass the following resolution as provided by Rule 12 (1) (a) of the Rules of the Club
5. To consider, and thought it fit, to pass the following resolution as provided by Rule 12 (1) (a) of the rules of the Club

a) That the Capital Improvement Contribution, where payable, for 2022/2023 be set at $75.00

b) That the Annual Subscription payable under each catergory of Membership by Club Members during 2022/2023 shall be as follows

  i. Ordinary Member (7 Day)                              $1,476.00 (incl of GST)    

 ii. Intermediate Member (6 Day)                       $1,255.00 (incl of GST)

iii. Weekday Member (5 Day)                             $1,192.00 (incl of GST)

iv. Lifestyle Member                                             $901.00 (incl of GST)

Note. Each of the catergories from (i) to (iv) above is inclusive of Oncosts of $118.83 and Capital Improvement Contribution of $75.00, both inclusive of GST.

v. Lifestyle Lite Member                                       $229.00 (incl of GST and $118.83 Oncost)

vi. Country Member                                             $281.00 (incl of GST and $118.83 Oncost)

vii. Young Adult Member 18-24 Years                 $308.00 (incl of GST and $118.83 Oncost)

viii. Junior Member                                              $172.00 (incl of GST)

ix. Social Golf                                                        $50.00 (incl of GST)

x. Social (Non-Playing)                                          $20.00 (incl of GST)

Note. A Member who provides proof of entitlement to the full Australian Government Pension and who has been a Member continuously for a period of not less than five years is entitled to a 30% reduction of the Subscription applicable to their category of Membership, excluding Oncosts and applicable GST.

6. To consider, and if thought fit, to pass the following resolution as provided by Rule 12 (1) (b) of the Rules of the Club

That the date for payment of the Subscriptions for 2022/2023 year shall be the day which is 12 months from the due date for the payment of the Subscription in the previous year.

7. To consider ,and if thought fit, to pass the following resolution:

The committee proposes to proceed with the implementation of the driving range proposal that was presented on 15 February 2022. The committee has received a request that this matter be put to a vote of the members. The committee does not believe that such a vote is required and seeks confirmation from the members (by ordinary resolution) that no vote is required.

OTHER BUSINESS

1. To elect the Members of the Committee of the Club as required under Division 3 of Part 5 of the Rules of the Club.
2. To deal with any other business of which proper notice has been given in accordance with the Club Rules.

PROXIES

In accordance with Rule 34 of the Rules of the Club, members are entitled to appoint a proxy to vote for them. The proxy appointment must be in writing and signed by the Member making the appointment. A proxy form is attached to this Notice. Proxy forms sent electronically or by post must be received by the Club at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the Meeting. Other forms must be provided to the Chairperson prior to the commencement of the Meeting.
