As another year of North West Pennant came to a close, the Gisborne junior team headed to Werribee Park for a showdown against long time rivals Northern. Despite an inspiring performance by up and coming star Kai Testro who won 4&2, the boys were unable to bring home the ultimate prize. 

It was a lipped out putt on the 17th hole for a win that brought young Jonah Harris’s final charge home and a Gisborne victory to an end. 

However Gisborne’s efforts during the season did not go unnoticed with Andrew Griffiths and Jonah Harris winning best senior player and best junior player in the Northern Division respectively. 

While this season of North West Pennant has come to an end, there’s always next year. Keep golfing and to any members who want to have a crack at match play and representing their club on the regional stage, keep an eye out for more posts about the 2020 season.
