Ladies Golf News 15/04

Posted on: 15 April

Hello all,

Captain Sharon has asked that all Wednesday ladies note with apologies for the short notice.

  • The 2023 Block Entry monies, $16 cash, will be collected this coming Wednesday April 19, and before hitting off on the following Wednesday, April 26

There are three charity competition events played by women state-wide.

The first event is the Royal Women’s Hospital 4BBB Stableford coming up on April 26 for teams of two. Find a partner now.

The other two events are Doris chambers Stableford Foursomes, usually in October, and the state-wide final of the Silver spoon, usually in November.

All players who would like to be included in the field for these three events please make sure you pay the $16 cash to Linda Miller, Maryanne Mocnik or Sharon Kemp before play on the 26th.

You can leave your $16 with the office in a clearly labelled envelope.

 Now to the Wednesday golf.

The steady rain early Wednesday morning had passed over by just after 9.00. Gaps in the field were filled and 18 ladies played Stableford on squishy greens under cloudy skies, with welcome patches of sunshine.

The Saturday Women’s comp only had 5 finishers; the weather hasn’t been kind in the past couple of weeks.

Once again players putting skills were tested with some greens throwing up lots of water.
