GOLF OPERATIONS UPDATE – 15/02/2022

Posted on: 15 February

North West Pennant

As you may have read on the portal already (if you haven’t, look for the “Eynesbury Fall for Gisborne Trap” article), our team went down to Eynesbury last Sunday. Let’s look at it as the loss they needed to have. Fortunately, they have another life and head to Eynesbury this Sunday to play off for the Northern Divisional Final. We expect nothing less than for the team to come out firing and secure the title. Good Hitting Gents!!

George Rich Trophy

You can see the surprise on his face when we announced Ben Mansted as the winner of the George Rich Trophy on Saturday Feb 5. Stroke scores were converted to Stableford, with Ben taking the title by 1 point from David Callander and Graeme Maddern.

Murray Heard Trophy

Another Board Event run and won. Congratulations to Steve Williams who has secured the gold lettering in the final of the Murray Heard Trophy. Steve won with 37 points. Well done Steve!

2021 Men’s Club Championships

We’re at the half way mark of the Championships with things tight at the top in all grades. For a full rundown of Gross and Nett scores please refer to the Results page.

The WR Grigg Trophy (36 Hole Stroke event run over the first two rounds) has been won by Steve Veloso with scores of 72 and 69 (141) from Brendan Larkins (144).

Keep the final round evening (Feb 26) clear to celebrate/commiserate with friends and family. Sure to be a great night, Three on the Tree will be performing some great tunes. Dinner reservations are strongly encouraged.

Jo McPhee, Captain on Behalf of Golf Ops Team
