Monday saw the club host the Gisborne Junior Open. The event doubled as a 12 years and under selection trial for the State Schools Victoria Squad. Prizemoney of $500 was kindly donated by Frank Mills, John Orwin, Dom Hogan, Brian Hunter, Geoff Ellis, David Davis and Barry Aarons, a big thanks to these members for sponsoring this years event, hopefully others in the club may look at doing the same next year. The course was presented in great condition, and the juniors loved the experience. Thanks to Graeme Maddern, Golf Australia, and the club’s hospitality team for helping make this a great event.
