The final round of the Captains Trophy was played in trying conditions on Saturday.

The 2 round event was hotly contested, the ordinary weather certainly helped to reduce those in contention from the previous week with plenty of competitors cancelling their tee times.

For those who toughed it out, the results were rewarding.

In 1st place was the Pres himself, Alastair Boustead. With an opening 33 points, Alastair proved he was an all weather player, with a great 37 points in the second round to take the trophy with a total of 70 points.

Alastair was chased home by a couple of single figure handicappers, who also relished the conditions.

Leif Louwen-Skovdam had 33 points, to finish with a total of 67, and Ben Roberts also equalled the days top score of 37, to finish 3rd on 66 points.
