Architectus Men’s Pennant Report

Round 1 of Golf Australia (Victoria) pennant commenced last Sunday. Gisborne, playing in Division 4 was playing Sandhurst at Sandhurst. A tough opening round.
The club was represented by; Brendan Larkins (Captain), Phil Clough, Steve Veloso, Matt Priest, Tim Maddern, Jason Lock and new member Scott Tutton. Welcome Scott.
Club Champion Steve Veloso had a strong win. Tim Maddern dug deep on the last after putting his first in the hazard with a second ball birdie to half the hole to force sudden death play-off. Tim then birdied the 19th to win his match.
Phil Clough commenced the 18th 1 up but drive went into fairway bunker. A lay-up with great up and down par secured the win 1up.
Both these efforts prevented a potential 6/1 loss, so well done guys.
